In Swedish, Tre Vänner means “three friends”. As the name suggests, the production company was founded by three friends, scriptwriters Michael Hjorth, Tomas Tivemark and Johan Kindblom. Michael and Tomas first met at Swedish Television’s (SVT) Drama department in 1993 working on the delightfully innovative and highly successful series Bert. Johan joined the team the following year and together they wrote Svensson Svensson, the most successful Swedish sitcom of all time. They so enjoyed the experience that Johan, Michael and Tomas decided to continue working together.
