| Beskrivning: SWEDISH RADIO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA MUSIC DIRECTOR DANIEL HARDING AUDITION FOR PRINCIPAL DOUBLE BASS October 2, 2023 Berwaldhallen, Stockholm Last day of application: May 8 Compulsory works: - Dittersdorf : Concerto no. 2 in D-Major, 1st mov. with cadenza (Gruber) and 2nd mov. without cadenza or - Vanhal : Concerto in C-Major, 1st mov. with cadenza (Gruber) and 2nd mov. without cadenza. - Bottesini : Concerto no 2 a-minor 1st and 2nd mov. without cadenza or - Koussevitzky: Concerto in e-minor, 1st and 2nd mov. Ensemble playing (music will be sent together with the invitation) During the application process we may request a video recording to be sent to us not later than August 14, containing: - The Dittersdorf or Vanhal Concerto, 1st mov. the exposition without cadenza - Orchestral excerpts: Beethoven Symphony no. 5 - The instrument should be “orchestra tuned (A=442)” for the audition. The employment: We offer a full-time permanent contract as Principal Double Bass including obligation to play as Co-leader when our Solo Double Bass is on duty.
